Meet Dr. Merrilee O’Meilia
Dr. Merrilee O’Meilia was born and raised in Oklahoma. She attended undergraduate and veterinary school at Oklahoma State University and graduated with her DVM in 2003. She has practiced small animal and wildlife medicine in Oklahoma, Kansas, and New Mexico, but feels New Mexico is home and is glad to have finally returned to the state. Her interests include small animal medicine, geriatric medicine, soft tissue surgery and dentistry. When not in the clinic, Dr. O’Meilia enjoys spending time with her amazing husband, Chris, and her two boys Max and Duncan. She can often be found outside where she is learning to garden at elevation while drinking too much coffee. She also loves hiking, painting, listening to live music and trying new food.
